Faculty Fellows

The University of Illinois is home to world-renowned faculty. IBC is fortunate to have four Faculty Fellows who provide training and mentoring to the student teams. Faculty Fellows provide training in areas such as marketing, technology, business intelligence and research.

Tiffany Barnett White
Associate Professor of Business Administration and Bruce and Anne Strohm Faculty Fellow

Tiffany Barnett White is Associate Professor of Business Administration and Advertising and Bruce and Anne Strohm Faculty Fellow at the University of Illinois, College of Business. She joined the faculty at Illinois in 1999 and received a Ph.D. in marketing from Duke University in 2000. Professor White holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in advertising from the University of Illinois. Her teaching and research interests are in the area of consumer psychology. Her research addresses affective cognitive and behavioral aspects of consumer-brand relationships and has been published in major marketing journals, including the Journal of Marketing, the Journal of Consumer Psychology and Psychology & Marketing. Professor White has been invited to present on the topic of branding and brand management to national and international audiences. Her research on the “Brand Connected Consumer” is a featured TEDx presentation (available for viewing on youtube.com). She is an award-winning teacher and is consistently featured on the University-wide list of faculty rated as excellent by their students. Professor White served as Secretary-Treasurer for the Society for Consumer Psychology and is a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of Consumer Psychology and the Journal of Service Research.

Ramanath Subramanyam
Associate Professor of Business Administration

Ramanath (Ram) Subramanyam is an Associate Professor of Business Administration. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Michigan in 2004. His research interests include IT Sourcing Governance, Management of IS design processes and project management, new product development, customer influences on technological product design, and IT-driven sustainability in products and processes. His teaching interests include IS Development and Management, IT Strategy and Innovations, Enterprise software management, Software project management, and Business Value of IT.

Yoo-Seong Song
Associate Professor of Library Administration

Yoo-Seong Song is Associate Professor of Library Administration. He received his MBA from the University of Iowa and MILS from the University of Michigan. Prior to coming to the University of Illinois, he was Senior Associate at Ernst & Young’s Center for Business Knowledge, specializing in e-commerce, high-tech, and telecommunications. His professional experience also includes working as Senior Analyst for Knowledge Management at Accenture and Market Intelligence Analyst at Tellabs. He currently teaches two courses at the Graduate School of Library & Information Science: Applied Business Research and Information Consulting. As a member of the Business Information Services team at the University Library, he leads workshops and course-related library instruction sessions at the College of Business. He is also serving as a board member for YUST PUST Foundation which is a non-profit organization supporting higher education projects in Northeast Asia. He has been involved with numerous projects to build digital libraries and business information centers for corporations and universities in Northeast Asia.
