IBC Senior Leadership Team

Illinois Business Consulting is student led and student driven. Students apply for the leadership positions and are selected based on their prior IBC experience, work experience, project management skills, leadership capabilities and interpersonal communication skills. The Senior Leadership Team is responsible for running the consulting operation, staffing the projects and performing key marketing, operations and training activities. Student Senior Managers are responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the client projects under their supervision.

Howard Yang - howard.yang96@gmail.com, Student Executive Director

Howard is current a Senior at Illinois studying Aerospace Engineering with minors in Computer Sciences as well as The Hoeft Technology & Management Program. He is originally from Fremont, California and has been a part of IBC since his freshman year. Having now completed six semesters with the organization, he has personally been involved in over a dozen projects. In his free time he enjoys reading nonfiction, traveling, and binge-watching Netflix. Howard interned this past summer at Capital One Financial as a Business Analyst.

Evie Richards - eiveevie@gmail.com, Internal Manager

Evie is a Senior in the Gies College of Business pursuing a double major in Information Technology and Marketing. She joined IBC in Spring 2015 and has served as a Consultant, Project Manager, and Internal Manager for two semesters now. She has actively led the completion of over two dozen initiatives through the Strategic Operations Team. Evie has interned as a Rotational Intern at Deloitte & Touche in Audit and Advisory, in addition to Amazon as an Area Manager.

Adithti Addepalli - adithtiaddep@gmail.com, Senior Manager

Adithti is a senior majoring in Finance with a minor in Computer Science. She joined IBC Spring 2015 and has served as a Consultant, Project Manager and now Senior Manager. Her prior projects have been focused around market research and new projects feasibility. In addition to IBC, Adithti has held leadership roles in Phi Gamma Nu and founded a dance team. In Summer 2016, Adithti interned of the FP&A team at Accolade and worked as a Private Equity Summer Analyst at Ohana Capital. This past summer, Adithti interned in the Finance Rotation Program at Microsoft.

Akshat Khajuria - khajuri2@illinois.edu, Senior Manager

Akshat is a Senior pursuing a dual degree in Computer Engineering and Economics. He has been a part of IBC since Fall 2015 serving as a Consultant, Senior Consultant and Project Manager, before becoming a Senior Manager. His previous projects have focused on IT transformation, market entry and expansion, feasibility analysis, and business plan development for a range of clients. In Summer 2016, Akshat interned at A.T. Kearney as a Summer Business Analyst, and spent this past summer at Mastercard as a Strategy Intern. He is actively pursuing a full-time career in consulting.

Arpita Sarkar - arpita.sarkar@gmail.com, Senior Manager

Arpita is a Senior in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Economics. She has been a member of IBC since the Fall of 2016 and has spent her time as a Consultant, Senior Consultant, and Project manager before her role as a Senior Manager. Her past projects have focused on marketing, market feasibility and entry strategies, as well as business development processes. Last summer, Arpita interned at Amazon as a Receive and Inbound Area Manager, and she is currently working part-time with Facebook as a Knowledge Management Associate. She is looking forward to a great semester of professional development at IBC.

Bala Chandrasekaran - bmchand2@illinois.edu, Senior Manager

Bala is a Junior in the College of Engineering pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering. He started IBC Spring of 2016, since then has he served as a Consultant, Senior Consultant, Project Manager and now Senior Manager. His past projects include market research and expansion strategy, governance in the water utility industry and crafting marketing campaigns for technology companies. Last summer Bala interned at Facebook as a Software Engineering intern, and he is interested in Venture Capital, Product Management and Consulting for future careers.

David Atkinson - atkinsondavid1414@gmail.com, Senior Manager

David is a Junior in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Statistics. He has been a member of IBC since Spring of 2016 and has worked on several projects with non-profit companies as well as one project with an international GPS monitoring company. He has had experience as a Senior Consultant and two semester's experience as a Project Manager before becoming a Senior Manager. He enjoys IBC because of the significant impact that students have on businesses while actively growing in their professionalism. During Summer 2017, David interned at American Community Bank & Trust as a Credit Analyst Intern. He is pursuing a career in consulting and is looking forward to being a part of the Senior Leadership Team this year.

Hunter Honeg - honeg2@illinois.edu, Senior Manager

Hunter is a Junior in the Gies College of Business pursuing Bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Information Systems/Information Technology. She joined IBC in Fall 2016 where she was a Consultant for one semester, Project Manager for one semester, and now Senior Manager. Hunter has prior experience working on logistics and change management projects. During Summer 2017, Hunter worked at John Deere as a Marketing Intern, but will begin actively pursuing a career in consulting with PwC through a Management Consulting Internship in Summer 2018.

Mori Suzuki - morisuzuki96@gmail.com, Senior Manager

Mori is a Junior in the College of Business, pursuing a dual degree in Accounting and Finance. He has been a member of IBC since the Fall of 2016, working as a Consultant for two semesters and a Project Manager for one semester before becoming a Senior Manager. His past projects have focused on market entry, non profit work and feasibility. In his free time, he loves playing basketball, golf and Super Smash Brothers. Last summer, Mori interned at State Farm as a Financial Operations Intern and next summer he will be joining KPMG as a Deal Advisory Intern. He is looking forward to joining the Senior Leadership Team and making it an impactful year in IBC.

Rachel Mary Joseph - rmjosep2@illinois.edu, Senior Manager

Rachel is a senior in the Gies College of Business pursuing a dual degree in Accountancy and Finance. She joined IBC in the Fall of 2016 and served as a Consultant, Senior Consultant, and Project Manager, before becoming a Senior Manager. Her former projects include market research and a feasibility assessment, financial modeling to optimize production capabilities, and developing a pricing strategy to increase customer demand. Last summer, Rachel interned at Deloitte in its Advisory practice where she will be returning full-time in the Fall. She looks forward to a great semester with the rest of the Senior Leadership Team!

Rorey is a Senior in the College of Engineering, pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Business. He has been a member of IBC since the Fall of 2015, working as a Consultant for one semester, a Senior Consultant for one semester, and a Project Manager for two semesters before becoming a Senior Manager. His past projects have focused on marketing, market entry and expansion strategies. Last summer, Rorey interned at PwC as a Technology Consulting Intern and he plans to pursue a full-time career in consulting.

Sherif ElMasry - sherif.h.em@gmail.com, Senior Manager

Sherif is a Junior in the College of Engineering pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, with a minor in the Hoeft Technology and Management Program. He joined IBC in the Spring of 2016, working as a Consultant, Senior Consultant, Project Manager and now a Senior Manager. He has worked on projects involving agriculture, non-profit work and insurance. During Summer 2017, Sherif worked at PwC Egypt as a Risk Assurance and Deals Intern, and at British Petroleum as a Projects Engineering Intern. He is actively pursuing a career in consulting and is looking forward to an impactful year at IBC.
