IBC Senior Leadership Team

Illinois Business Consulting is student led and student driven. Students apply for the leadership positions and are selected based on their prior IBC experience, work experience, project management skills, leadership capabilities and interpersonal communication skills. The Senior Leadership Team is responsible for running the consulting operation, staffing the projects and performing key marketing, operations and training activities. Student Senior Managers are responsible for ensuring the successful execution of the client projects under their supervision.

Howard Yang - howard.yang96@gmail.com, Student Executive Director

Howard is current a Senior at Illinois studying Aerospace Engineering with minors in Computer Sciences as well as The Hoeft Technology & Management Program. He is originally from Fremont, California and has been a part of IBC since his freshman year. Having now completed six semesters with the organization, he has personally been involved in over a dozen projects. In his free time he enjoys reading nonfiction, traveling, and binge-watching Netflix. Howard interned this past summer at Capital One Financial as a Business Analyst, and will be starting as an Associate for The Boston Consulting Group next Fall.

Evie Richards - eiveevie@gmail.com, Internal Manager

Evie is a Senior in the Gies College of Business pursuing a double major in Information Technology and Marketing. She joined IBC in Spring 2015 and has served as a Consultant, Project Manager, and Internal Manager for two semesters now. She has actively led the completion of over two dozen initiatives through the Strategic Operations Team. Evie has interned as a Rotational Intern at Deloitte & Touche in Audit and Advisory, in addition to Amazon as an Area Manager.

Adithti Addepalli - adithtiaddep@gmail.com, Senior Manager

Adithti is a senior majoring in Finance with a minor in Computer Science. She joined IBC Spring 2015 and has served as a Consultant, Project Manager and now Senior Manager. Her prior projects have been focused around market research and new projects feasibility. In addition to IBC, Adithti has held leadership roles in Phi Gamma Nu and founded a dance team. In Summer 2016, Adithti interned of the FP&A team at Accolade and worked as a Private Equity Summer Analyst at Ohana Capital. This past summer, Adithti interned in the Finance Rotation Program at Microsoft.

Jake Alexander - jakealexander1995@gmail.com, Senior Manager

Jake is a Senior studying Mechanical Engineering with a minor in the Hoeft Technology and Management program. He joined IBC in the Spring of 2015, serving as a Consultant, Project Manager, and now in his second year as a Senior Manager. He has worked on projects in agriculture, medical technology, and the food industry. He enjoys his IBC experience because of the tangible impacts his team engagements have made and the business acumen he has gained. Over the summer of 2017, Jake interned with PwC in Silicon Valley as a Strategic Technology Advisory Intern. With deep rooted interests in technology and its impact on society, Jake is pursuing a career in either product development or consulting.

David Atkinson - atkinsondavid1414@gmail.com, Senior Manager

David is a Junior in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Economics and Statistics. He has been a member of IBC since Spring of 2016 and has worked on several projects with non-profit companies as well as one project with an international GPS monitoring company. He has had experience as a Senior Consultant and two semester's experience as a Project Manager before becoming a Senior Manager. He enjoys IBC because of the significant impact that students have on businesses while actively growing in their professionalism. During Summer 2017, David interned at American Community Bank & Trust as a Credit Analyst Intern. He is pursuing a career in consulting and is looking forward to being a part of the Senior Leadership Team this year.

Kunal Berry - kunal.berry96@gmail.com, Senior Manager

Kunal is a senior studying Bioengineering, and has been part of the firm since his freshman year. Before becoming Senior Manager, Kunal served as a consultant for one semester, senior consultant for two semesters, and a project manager for one semester. His projects have focused on market entry, operations, marketing, and optimization. Kunal has interned in the biotech industry as a Clinical Immersion Intern with Jump Trading Simulation and Education Center during Summer 2016. He has also had experience in the consulting industry as a Technology Consulting Intern at PricewaterhouseCoopers during Summer 2017, which he plans to pursue for a full-time career.

Bala Chandrasekaran - bmchand2@illinois.edu, Senior Manager

Bala is a Junior in the College of Engineering pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering. He started IBC Spring of 2016, since then has he served as a Consultant, Senior Consultant, Project Manager and now Senior Manager. His past projects include market research and expansion strategy, governance in the water utility industry and crafting marketing campaigns for technology companies. Last summer Bala interned at Facebook as a Software Engineering intern, and he is interested in Venture Capital, Product Management and Consulting for future careers.

Enrique Daza - daza2@illinois.edu, Senior Manager

Enrique is a 4th year PhD student in Bioengineering, and second-year MBA student focusing on Strategy. Originally from the Silicon Valley, Enrique came to UIUC to research nanomedicine for breast cancer therapies. During his journey here, he started a slot machine parlor in Decatur, IL and founded the Bioengineering Advisory Council. Last year, he began his journey in IBC where his projects consisted of developing business plans and optimizing recruitment efforts for multimillion dollar organizations. Enrique spent the summer as an intern at Accenture as a Management Consultant and is currently pursuing full-time opportunities in strategy consulting and start up technology company’s.

Sherif ElMasry - sherif.h.em@gmail.com, Senior Manager

He joined IBC in the Spring of 2016, working as a Consultant, Senior Consultant, Project Manager and now a Senior Manager. He has worked on projects involving agriculture, non-profit work and insurance. During Summer 2017, Sherif worked at PwC Egypt as a Risk Assurance and Deals Intern, and at British Petroleum as a Projects Engineering Intern. He is actively pursuing a career in consulting and is looking forward to an impactful year at IBC.

Akshat Khajuria - khajuri2@illinois.edu, Senior Manager

Akshat is a Senior pursuing a dual degree in Computer Engineering and Economics. He has been a part of IBC since Fall 2015 serving as a Consultant, Senior Consultant and Project Manager, before becoming a Senior Manager. His previous projects have focused on IT transformation, market entry and expansion, feasibility analysis, and business plan development for a range of clients. In Summer 2016, Akshat interned at A.T. Kearney as a Summer Business Analyst, and spent this past summer at Mastercard as a Strategy Intern. He is actively pursuing a full-time career in consulting.

Akshay Nambiar - anambia2@illinois.edu, Senior Manager

Akshay is a Senior in the College of Engineering pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Systems Engineering with a concentration in Computer Science. He has been a member of IBC since Spring 2016, working as a consultant for two semesters, a Project Manager for one and now a Senior Manager. His projects in IBC have entailed capital expenditure management, market expansion for a technology start up, and supply chain studies. During the Summer of 2017, Akshay worked at W.W. Grainger as a Software Engineer Intern. His career interests are comprised of consulting, software development, and venture capital.

Rorey Seligmann - selgmnn2@illinois.edu, Senior Manager

Rorey is a Senior in the College of Engineering, pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Business. He has been a member of IBC since the Fall of 2015, working as a Consultant for one semester, a Senior Consultant for one semester, and a Project Manager for two semesters before becoming a Senior Manager. His past projects have focused on marketing, market entry and expansion strategies. Last summer, Rorey interned at PwC as a Technology Consulting Intern and he plans to pursue a full-time career in consulting.
