A Word From Paul
Dear IBC Alum:
I send greetings from Suite 2015 in the new College of Business building to each of you who generously contributed your intelligence and experience to Illinois Business Consulting (I occasionally still use OSBI). IBC's suite of offices in the Business Instructional Facility is testament to your persistence, purpose, and performance!
IBC, like other organizations, has undergone a series of leadership changes. Many of you may have been familiar with Stig Lanesskog and Dr. Normand Paquin, two Illinois MBA alums who headed the organization for several years. Stig is now an Associate Provost at the University, and Dr. Paquin currently serves as Assistant Dean in the College of Engineering.
Dr. John Clarke, yet another Illinois MBA alum, concurrently serves as Assistant Dean of the College of Business and Executive Director of IBC. Ron Watkins, a fourth Illinois MBA alum, serves as the Associate Director and manages IBC's day-to-day activities with the assistance of Liezl Bowman. I continue to be housed in the IBC suite and try to stay out of the way of those who are doing the heavy lifting. Collectively, each of us pledges to continue building upon the legacy developed during the more than dozen years of IBC's existence.
For the last year, with the assistance of many MBA alums, my major effort has been to reconstruct an IBC database that will enable IBC's leadership to develop a closer and continuing relationship with each of you. Additionally, assisted by MBA Class Leaders, we are working to develop a permanent financial endowment for IBC. Please contact me at pmagelli@illinois.edu if you wish to work with me on this important initiative.
I wish you well, and I look forward to reconnecting with old friends!
